The New England Patriots traded receiver Randy Moss back to his old team, the Minnesota Vikings for a third round draft pick in 2011. The Vikings think this is their one chance to win a superbowl. It might, if Brett Favre and Rany were a lot younger and the Coach had an IQ above room temperature. The roster has enough high maintenance types that if they don't win, will make for plenty of finger pointing and a long rebuilding process. Good luck.

NY Jets 38-Buffalo Bills 14
It really wasn't much of a game. The Bills looked so bad that it's hard to tell how much the Jets have really improved since the loss to Baltimore in week one. LT and Shonne Greene both rushed for over 100 yards and Mark Sanchez continued his interception-free streak. The defense looked dominant and with Calvin Pace and Darrelle Revis close to returning, should only get better.

Jets 31, Dolphins 23
Belated post...Mark Sanchez looked great, the D looked terrible, but the team found a way to get an ugly win on the road.
It would have made a lot of people feel better about the team's decision to play Braylon Edwards if he just handed the ball to the ref after his TD (after the defender fell down).

Jets 28-Pats 14
Even without Darelle Revis (out for a few weeks), the Jets outplayed and outcoached the Patriots. Wes Welker couldn't get untracked and the San Diego castoffs, Cromartie and LT, had solid games. Bite me, Tommyboy.

Jets/Ravens Post Mortem
It's disappointing the Jets shot themselves in the foot so often last night. Penalties and an anemic offense cost them the game. The defense looked good with plenty of room for the DB's to improve. The inside running game was non-existent, but LT looked better than expected when he had a little room on the outside. Brad Smith once again showed his versatility. Ray Rice, usually a very good runing back, was held to 2 yards a carry. Jason Taylor showed some flashes and surprised against the run. As the announcers said a number of times, in an effort to control turnovers, Mark Sanchez utilized a dumbed down game plan that left the team with virtually no margin of error to win. The biggest plus to take from the game is that the Jets almost pulled it out while overall playing a very poor game.

Dez Bryant
Dez Bryant doesn't want to do the rookie training camp routines like carrying the veterans' pads or sing a song in the dining hall. The Cowboys just can't just have a drama free season. Unless DB is the second coming of Christ, or better yet, Jerry Rice, he's going to have a hard time winning over Cowboy Nation.
Carry your own damn pads, Roy

I mean lots of football teams have initiation rites to build team comraderie, right?
